Who do SEO Experiments Regularly?

Hi,

I am really getting serious with SEO nowadays.

I wonder how many SEO pros do SEO experiments here.

I am doing it in a small scale with Web 2.0s.

Anyone on the same boat?

I sometimes do and get somewhat good results. I tried something 2-3 months back and overlooked everything which was taught in the books and formulated my own strategy and fortunately it worked like a charm and got me good results.
Now I am again trying new thing, Let's see whether it works for me or not

Explain experiments? You mean try to see if new techniques will rank better etc?

Yeah.. Like making some link building experiments.

Testing what makes a site ranks using this method 1 or method 2..

Using tiers or just blasting away. That kind of experiments.

Currently I'm testing something with WordPress MultiUser sites (WP MU). They enable quicker results in low competition areas.

Before, I dealt with the PR algorithm.
(PageRank, has nothing to do with a page, but is named after Larry Page who developed this algorithm and together with Sergey Brin is the founder of Google. The PR algo is still the basis of G's search process.)

Here the beast in all its beauty :

Once you have eaten it, SEO is only fun ... enjoy it ;)

Thanks Marc.. Its like Enstein's formula. Haha!

Google made some hummingbird algo now. And hit almost 90% of the web.

SEO's need to toughen up a bit.

Here's a tip..

Experiment with content and the way it's published....

Large text
Underlined text
Bold text
Italics text
"Text in quotations"

Simply act according to the webmaster guidelines and none of the animals from Google's algo zoo will harm you ;)

Yeah I test things all the time. It's kind of how I've gotten to where I'm at today but just testing things out.

Many times I've set up specific sites for no other purpose but to test a certain link building technique or promotional tactic whilst using no other tactics on that site so that I can how effective that strategy truly is.

Then I just cut the fat and focus on the things that really give results.
