Where do these spy programs get advertisers info?

I'm new here,

I need to know where these spy programs such as BoxOFAds and WhatRunsWhere are getting people's campaign information. Are they scraping it directly from the PPV and ad networks? I ask because I don't want my info posted on those sites and hope to find a way around it.

I think, they install the Adware and then, scrape everything using their program.
Just change your tracking url and landing page url, I know that is one method of scraping targets.

WRW is a decent tool but I have a slightly different view point on competitive intelligence tools. I think they have a tendency to pout you in a box. those that use them try to mimic everything they see to try and duplicate. I can see why people see this as valuable,m but i also think it degrades over time and the ROI leaves much to desire. I always try to think outside of the box. Strive to be in innovator..not imitator.
