From my limited experience basically anything can work. But the gig has to be original in some way.
If you do not offer an original service, then have an awesome video/ and or description of the service. Find an angle - write out what makes your gig better than the other gigs.
And don't get bad feedback, that will kill your gig for sure . In the beginning at least. When I see someone with one bad rating out of 3 or 4, I run from that gig.
It would also be good to add loads of gigs on there, some have to click with consumers. Just experiment. No one says you can have only one gig promoting one service. Why not have four up and see which description/ gig name gets results.
I often buy bookmarks on fiverr (only because I'm too lazy for that boring job),
but I´m still searching for a way to manage the off-page part more efficiently
(e.g. own software).
I always take a look at the reviews which a provider on fiverr has,
but actually most of the gigs for bookmarks are usable and fulfill their purpose
- thumbs up
