Hmmm, the mystery continues. Can't be Sloppy Joes because of the potatoes and no buns. Can't be meatloaf because there aren't any bread crumbs. Can't be chili because it has potatoes. Can't be goulash, no macaroni.

Keep in mind it could be two different dishes that kind of combine at the end to make something awesome. Good guesses!

Bolognese, primo! lol

Bolognese, primo! lol

It doesn't look like my Bolognese recipe:

5 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
3 tablespoons butter
1 carrot, finely, diced
1 medium onion, diced
1 rib celery, finely diced
1 clove garlic, sliced
1 pound veal, ground
1 pound pork, ground
1/4 pound pancetta or slab bacon, ground
1/2 tube tomato paste
1 cup milk
1 cup dry white wine
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
Parmigiano-Reggiano, for grating

OMG, I haven't heard of cottage pie since I was a kid! That was, umm, a while ago. Can't even remember what it tasted like but I can imagine by looking at the picture.
