Afternoon.

I've always wondered, with all the directory sites appearing, do you code yours to allow search engines to use either of the above settings.

I don't understand why the option is in some of the directory software, as I'd definitely want a link to be followed if I was paying for that link in the first place.

Just wanted to know the opinion of others on this matter.
 
Hi there at the main page i make the 7 latest addition nofollow, but at the categories every single link is direct. I implement those nofollows in order to build nice PR for my inner pages.
 
for my free submission with no back links I use nofollow, for submission with backlink I do NOT use no follow and for paid submission, its direct text link
 
Of course I use follow otherwise there is no point having that directory.

I use nofollow on some internal links that i feel search engines don't need to follow. But i've never found a reason otherwise to use nofollow...
