Virgin Mobile rejects NTL offer

Virgin Mobile's board has rejected an £817m ($1.4bn) bid from cable operator NTL, despite the deal being backed by major shareholder Sir Richard Branson.
The company, 72%-owned by Sir Richard, opposed the offer on the grounds that it undervalued the business.

Makes corporate sense to me Temi! NTL has a rather jaded personality, yes they have cable bb but the customer service is terrible and it is still dealing with a disasterous infrastructure from the olf Nynex and Cable and Wireless owners!

This whole tv on mobile phones thing must really be shaking up the indstry. takeovers etc are expected worldwide as media companies and phonecomapnies begin to merge.
