The Money Is In The Relationship - As Well As Your Hooks and Angles

    List building is among the oldest methods in our industry to capture clients and turn them into repeat buyers. We all use hooks and angles to bring them on board.

    It will serve all you well to study hooks, angles, and such. How many times have you read the headline on an email from a marketer to see something like "I QUIT", or "EMAIL MARKETING IS DEAD", or "YOU WILL BROKE BY TOMORROW", etc.
    Only to see:
    "I QUIT the rat race yesterday after only 3 days of CPA Marketing using this most insane simple formula!"
    "EMAIL MARKETING IS DEAD for everyone that keeps using those old tactics being pitched by the Gurus!"
    "YOU WILL BE BROKE BY TOMORROW if you don't learn these 7 IMPORTANT SECRETS your customers crave!"

    This is what you hear: "THE MONEY IS IN THE LIST!"
    This is the truth: "THE MONEY IS NOT IN THE LIST, IT'S IN THE RELATIONSHIP!".

    Use hooks and angle that are meant to be seen and heard by the specific audience you are engaging.

    Most of the hooks out there have been used for a hundred years and longer. It's an old ploy, and it is 100% (almost) true. Old hooks still work. The hooks above are a hybrid of the takeaway and the bait and switch. They work well when done correctly, they bombs big when used wrong.

    THE MONEY IS IN THE RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR LIST

    Make certain that your hooks are well thought out and that the audience they are targeting are relevant to the hooks and angles you use!
