Intro - SEO Guide.png

The reason why I'm creating this post is, because I have been watching the SEO section of this forum for a while, and it hasn't that much good stuff, except some members post like Jay's, but still I think there isn't a SEO "bible" to take a look at for a beginner or someone who hasn't had Luck creating his own site. So I tough, I have few more hours till "waking up" and going to school ( It's night, while I'm writing this ), and I have a little inspiration to write a guide, and I really hope, that at least 1 people will take action from this and try, and eventually he will succeed.

Keyword Research - SEO Guide.png

I Know a lot of People who don't do proper Keyword/Niche Research and I'm a complete opposite to them, I can spend 4-8 hours just researching my niche and trying to find the right keywords. Some of you may think that I'm a complete Idiot because of that, but you do know what, it's bullshit, the real thing is, yeah, if you go after a keyword like - "PayDay Loan" then you don't need to do much research, but just do the nasties black hat SEO you can think of, but if you are like me, The Average Joe, then you just need to use your creative mind to think of a niche what people search for, but Affiliate Marketer can't think of, and were is money to be made.

What Keyword/Niche you DON'T want :

A Niche which you hate, and don't know completely nothing about and don't want to learn about
NOT POSSIBLE TO RANK Competition Keywords : Health Insurance

Hard Competition Keywords : Health Insurance New York
Medium Competition Keywords : Short Term Health Insurance New York

Easy Competition Keywords : How do I get Health Insurance in New York

How I do it :

That was just an example to give you an idea, and don't create your first or second site, around niches like insurance or other really competitive niches, choose something more possible were you can find shitload of keywords, like product site, because there are million products and there will be something that you can rank. How does look my template for finding keywords :

Board Niche ( TV) -- > Sub Niche ( LCD TV) - Sub Sub Niche ( Samsung LCD TV ) - Sub Sub ... ( Samsung LCD TV for sale )

Don't stop there, it's to hard to rank that, big company's try to rank keywords like that, what you should do know is, think of a way how you can make it even more specific ?
Some may ask, but how to do it ? That's the thing, you need to be creative, and each keyword will have different types to get that keyword smaller, this niche is still competitive, but I'm showing this, to give you and idea, how to apply it to different niche, and don't stop at product keywords, choose something like travel or recipes or anything any apply this principle.

So after "Samsung LCD TV for sale" don't make the keyword even longer, but change the keyword completely, but it will basically be the same --> Samsung un22f5000 (2'400 searches ) -->
samsung un22f5000 22-inch 1080p 60hz slim led hdtv ( 720 searches )
Now you see what we did there, that's still not good keyword, and I wouldn't even pick a niche like that, but you see the concept, and apply it to every niche/keyword. Example, in a movie niche, don't target "Online Comedy Movies" ( 260 searches ), but instead pick a comedy: "American Pie" (800k searches ) and now make it longtail to get rid of the competition.

How can I know I have an easy competition keyword ?

This is a bit harder to show, as it requires some understanding of SEO, to check the competition manually, I for example go trough the
top 10-20 manually by checking each backlink profile in MajesticSEO, an analyze what backlinks they have, but what I can advice, is look for keywords, were there isn't Wikipedia and sites like that.

For the start you can use this tool : www.keywordrevealer.com
It's free and you can get a basic idea, the less the score the better chances you have. Just to give an example, let's use the keywords that I showed you before :
LCD TV has a score of 40+ ( Still seems low, but it's a free tool and that's why I mostly check manually my kws )
But "
samsung un22f5000 22-inch 1080p 60hz slim led hdtv" has a score of 19 which is pretty low.

One More Thing :

Sometimes a keyword with 100 searches can be much better than with 10000 search, you may ask why ? It's because the keyword hasn't any marketing value.
For example : "reputable payday loan companies" has 110 searches, and for 1 lead you get paid 50-100$ ( just an example ) , but "naruto shippuden episode 338" has 10k searches, but you can make maybe few dollars from that keyword.

This is the end of this section, if people will like the Part 1, will write the second part 2.

There may be mistakes, and I will edit them tomorrow after school, I'm really tired and have 2 hours till school left. And will make it look a bit better by making some paragraphs, or edit the designs already made.

I also may add something if I think it's needed, but that for tomorrow.

Thanks for Reading

It's not low, I myself mostly use keywords 30 or less, but it really depends because I check manually after, and a keyword tool isn't better at determining the keyword competition better than me. There is one thing too, to take into consideration, can you build a decent site around it, and find many smaller keywords from that. I will talk about it more it the next 2 parts.

And great to hear that you like the guide.

Now start part 2 :)

Will try to write the 2 Part when I have more time, as they are pretty time consuming, and I'm pretty bad at writing in general.
Great to see that this Guide has 15'000 views, but still there are few replies and likes, so not sure if it does help to someone.
