Ask Me Anything Testing Advertising Networks

No, I stopped to 'regroup'.

The white label I was using was not converting. I was feeding a dead horse -- I let the xmedia.stream domain just expire -- cut my losses with cambuilder and streamate -- they are just another write-off. Disappointed but not surprised considering just who is running Streamate these days.

I set up a new cam white label, with an old established European webcam program, for one last try a few months ago and am getting 1 signup for about 50-70 sessions of users from my twitterbot -- low volume off a feed I have stopped working on for 4 month (resumes *soon*). The twitter feed traffic is better quality traffic than bulk ad traffic (pops, banners). I did find some porno-push notification (small volume and costly $0.25 to $0.45 CPC). My Twitterbot traffic costs $0.10 to $0.20 now -- some ads are involved.
The new white label signup conditions are free DOI however the signup pays nothing and there is no credit card validation .

Difference is: 25 free credits on the sign-up that can be used to tip in the chatrooms (free money).

This will get the new sign-up addicted to spending (different marketing psychology (I like)). Out of credits! buy some more -- see some more (this is cam porn ... serious perving or so the thinking goes). Don't laugh the adult cam biz does a few $billion in revenue per year -- now one knows for sure ;)
It's all revshare --and so far no buyers -- but only 7 DOI very few to tell. At least there is potential.

Bottom line: A DOI sign-up has to buy for me to get paid.

(.05 [per new session] *80 [sessions to 1 DOI] )*12 [DOI => Buying customer]
scale=2;(.05*80)*12
$48.00 cost per customer acquired

push would (or PPC Bing maybe) would have to be closer to;
scale=2;(.35*20)*7
49.00
Same basis as above

That's a 200% ROMI over 14 months maybe <<< that is the upside (or pipe dream :D )

**this may never work well enough to dump serious money into ...IDK but I will try again

The problem is simple;
a new webcam revshare customer is worth (median) $460 - $600 in this format private pay per view.
I get about 30%+-
scale=2;((460+600)/2)*.28 = $148.40 gross affiliate revenue
or somewhere between $140 to $150 distributed over 3 to 20 months (varying per account)

It's not a cash-on-cash ROI one-shot deal-- e.g.; $4 per SOI

This first round cost $150 in ad spend and a lot of time used on deciphering the results. I am going to reuse the creatives (landing pages, server rewrites for those pages as well as the tracking that I worked out using my own servers and programming/scripting. <<< So, not a total loss ;)

I am starting to buy ads from various ad networks for my own websites, whitelabels, and my own affiliate sites where I contract direct with the vendors/sponsors. So, before any affiliate networks AMs or Tracking tool guys get excited -- I am not your target customer ;) No offense meant but I have developed my own networks and IT tech way working. I hate dashboards, I hate tools -- I am the one that writes my own manual.

I like ssh and a LINUX Konsole/xterm/terminal :>)

Anyway ...

  1. All advertising networks that accept XXX Adult content will be considered.
  2. Anyone with high level B2B experience is welcomed also -- I have a very good Proxy/VPN product to market -- it is expensive $500/mo minimum commitment.

Have you tried Mediavine?

NEW Test --NEW *OFFER*

**your actual results may differ ;)
  • CBD Physical products 30% CPS
  • 1 Year cookie (<ROFLMAO>)
  • Average sale amount $80-$110
  • AM said the average mobile conversion was 1:50
Ad Network tested: popcash
(popular low cost traffic around here so I thought I would spend $20.00) and see :)

10 days I dripped traffic in various ways.
Most of this traffic is US Desktop and Tablet.
The popcash dashboard was new to me so there was a minor learning curve involved.
Getting the traffic to come in slowly required day-parting and multiple daily budget changes.

My server CPU was averaging 1.28 -- acceptable no issues rendering my landing page issues.
The Traffic was US and GB mainly the load time in N. America was 900ms to 1.4 s depending

RESULTS:

popcash-27-july-2019.png

  1. $0.048 is not a bad landed cost (I think all the rest is bullshit...)
  2. However -0- conversions I would expect just 1 (WTF)
  3. Maybe there are traffic qualities undetected?
  4. Maybe the offer is too expensive for this traffic?
  5. Maybe the offer is just bad (affinity, shaving, the target offer's load time is slow (5-7 s) e-commerce

On porn sites :D well> YOU GOT A STUFFY NOSE?<
I think that should stand out as a sore thumb with all the porn skin creatives ... WTF is this > Click? We will see ...

I chose 2 websites with very different metrics so there would be some contrast to compare on any CPC I get (if any). The referring sites are recorded in my server logs, Times, User Agents (browsers).

  1. Popunder is very mediocre really junk.
  2. Most of it is bots.
  3. (23/290)*1000 79.3/CPM is the cost per REAL CR on this landing page
  4. (23/1061)*1000 21.68/CPM was the REAL cost of the landing pages loaded
  5. 290/1061 27.33% <<<The net CTR OUT from the LP to the *OFFER*
Conclusion:
CBD as a product may have good customer affinity but is probably too costly for the income level of these persons that looked. I think that the demographic needs to be >1.15 of the average US consumer to get the conversions.

You can't squeeze blood out of a rock ...

I rehashed about 1000 clicks out from my webcam feed at Twitter and found the demographic disappointing
twitter-icam-demographics.png

Really sucked :p It may have been the nature of the feed not sure. The demographics do not match the global demographics that Twitter touts --hardly.

If anyone has substantial, and statistically valid (500-2000), IP addresses from CTR on other Social Media, any Ad Network Data or SEM CPC data --US GEO ONLY. I would welcome contributions for an anonymized analysis -- posted here.

At least I know when I am being fed garbage by facts and not intuition or assumption ;)

This test was from 2019 --not current.

What's happened is Google has peed in the pool and let lose the code for headless chrome that is being used to build the newer 'bots' .

Now some of the brainiacs forget to change the `out of the box` user-agent so I have seen them logged as "Headless Chrome" and block it (yes people are really that dumb!).

How many get past me is unknown --hostnames with a PTR may detect some.
$ host 142.250.191.110 110.191.250.142.in-addr.arpa domain name pointer ord38s28-in-f14.1e100.net.
I may be running traffic again shortly TBD so I can state some current 'facts' about the networks used. This offer is sensitive and the scrub will be intensive.
