Record Breaking Online Ad Revenue - Plus 10% Growth

Finally some good news instead of just doom and gloom. <strong>Online advertising grew by over 10% in 2008 to hit a record $23 Billion.</strong> The growth slowed in 08, that's for sure and is about half what it was in 07, BUT Internet advertising is still one of the few sectors that IS still growing, so that's great news!

Interesting to note how much of online ad spend is now performance based. That does not include affiliate marketing I don't believe, I think that's traditional ads - but it still leads me to think more advertisers than ever will be moving toward affiliate marketing.
