I'm thinking about running a contest to (1) reward some of my publishers and (2) get some of them to put up their creatives. The idea is simple; I want to give a "branded" (SITENAMECOM) coupon code (good for $10 off, free shipping and a personalized landing page) to the publisher that brings in the most sales during a 1 month period.
To be fair to everyone, I want to break publishers into two groups, and choose the highest grossing seller, for the month, from each group:
G1: 10-15 of the top performing publishers
G2: Publishers that have had 0-3 sales
Questions:
1. Do affiliates prefer a # of sales or gross $ amount metric?
2. Should I publish the results? How detailed should I be (name of aff, $ amount, etc...)?
3. Opinions on the prize?
