Most effective sources of generating traffic??

Hi,

momentarily I am occupied with alternative methods of generating targeted traffic from sources other than organic traffic from google. I am trying to get traffic from sources such as email marketing, facebook cross promotion and tweets since google is an unreliable source to get targeted traffic from due to my experience

What sources of generating targeted traffic do you employ and what experiences have you made with using them?

Are you talking about traffic to a website, affiliate offer or just in general?

My primary source of traffic when I started out my niche sites was.

Niche related forums.
I use a program called Buzz Bundle. This finds keyword-related topics on the web for you. Expensive program though.
Social Media

Now I use Buzz bundle a few times a week and Social media. Also working on SEO. I usually do this after I have a good amount of traffic coming in.

E-mail marketing is doing ok for me although not really the best option in my niche.

PPC and organic. Organic is the icing on the cake and not the cake itself. Paid traffic is the bomb!
