Mobile Marketing, What's needed

I would like to get into mobile marketing. What do I need to get started.

I currently have a vps server, do I need to move to a dedicated server?
What specs should I look for?

What about tracking? I have Cpvlabs, do I need to invest in a tracker like Imobitrax?

VPS is fine for starting out. Get iMobiTrax or Voluum if you're looking for mobile tracking solutions.

Did you check with CPVLabs? I know their literature talks about their ability to track mobile traffic, but I have not checked into it.

Since our mobile efforts are primarily aimed at getting opt-in mobile numbers for SMS marketing, I may not be the best person to ask. We still use a VPS server and it works fine. Depending on the business we work with, we may create complete mobile ready websites, or just go with an adaptive Wordpress theme for mobile readers.

The above mentioned iMobiTrax and Voluum are the best mobile trackers at this time. If you want to get deep into mobile and you have budget I suggest you to follow Ruck and Ryan at IMGrind. They know this mobile staff better than anyone else in my opinion.
