I've not seen it myself, however, I do two close friends in the adult market that say this has been the case for them.
I have two content sites that have seen increased traffic and conversions every month since July. They are reasonably new and not 100% yet, but only launched in June. Maybe it's the niches you're working that are being affected.
I found September are quite slow in this year. But October was alright of me. I reached my target. I heard in Canada Nov is a slow month for selling anything.
