Landing pages... what do you do?

Hey guys,

So having researched a lot regarding PPV, it's slightly ambiguous as to which way to go with landing pages..

Do you outsource the designs, or do you make them yourself with photoshop and a html editor?

Really intrigued to know what the top guys do - I have read a lot that the simplest of landers still can convert well.

So, how do you guys get your landers?

You're right there, sometimes the simplest pages are what convert. (KISS = Keep It Simple Stupid)

You've got to be getting the message across in a matter of seconds so it's important to think about these things.

When running PPV I will often just work on the pages myself, there is no point in doing anything complex enough that you should need to outsource (I guess in certain niches there may a need for more complex pages).

Here in the PPV Forum is a case study by johnnygood that you should look at. It has great example of a simple landing page with 15 or more variations.
