been looking at webinars of market samuri and was wondering is it worth the one of payment for keyword research. it seems to make the process of keyword research ridiculously easy! if so are there any cheaper alternatives.
I've owned my own copy of MS for at least 4 years maybe longer. It's a good tool for finding keywords, however, the seo competition analyzer part of MS is not as reliable as it once was. For one thing, the competition analyzer sources it's data from Bing, and not google as it once did. The other point about the competition analyzer is the way it leaves it up to you to interpret the results. It populates a matrix with different colors, red, yellow, and green to indicate the competitiveness of the kw. Obviously, the more green you see in the matrix the better the kw. However, you must be the one to decide if there is sufficient green in the matrix to go after the kw. It won't flat out tell you to "this is a great kw- go for it."
