Could you rank a forum thread?

So guys lets say we did an experiment where we all tried to rank one thread with SEO techniques.

How well do you think you could do?

Shall we give it a go?

I've seen it on other forums where they pick a nice keyword and place it in the thread title.

Then within the thread loads of members build back links with bold, underlined, large font etc for keyword related terms.
