Depends on where the ads would run. If you're running T1 countries, it's probably enough to try and get your feet wet to see which campaigns are good. If you're gonna scale however, that would be not enough.

$100 is good for getting more views and a few more likes on your page that you would normally get just from organic traffic. However if you're planning to optimize and convert a lot of your traffic, $100 is probably not enough.
