Affiliates Cloaking on Facebook

Can affiliates really make money on Facebook without cloaking?
Everyone around me say cloak and white hat is not worth it.

I get asked this a lot honestly. The answer is that there are lots of people who do cloak and make money doing it. But Facebook is getting better and better at catching it so if you want to build a dependable long term business, cloaking is not the way to do it. I think after a bit of time white hat is actually less work also. I would put your time into building a solid whitehat business and build a good relationship with Facebook.
