You can try to increase the CTR (yours is decent, but can probably be improved) or target a less expensive audience in order to lower the CPC.
Split-test more ads as well as demographics and see what's the cheapest combination that converts. It's not easyt o give advice without more specific...
You need to get a new CC and use a different IP address when setting up the account.
One thing that I believe they also consider to determine if an account has to go through a verification process is the addresses. The address on the CC, the billing address and the IP location should be close...
Michael,
Personally, I am not a big fan of rules of thumb for testing campaigns, because I think that each campaign is different and the numbers are not always the same.
However, if you believe you have a consistent angle and a good landing page, probably 3x - 4x the payout of the offer can be...
I like Twitter to be use dmore as a tool that helps to keep a certain audience engaged with your brand (similar to an autoresponder), but I do'nt think it's great for promoting offers directly.
For this reason, I vote on FB. :)
Not sure if it's easy to find "proven images", because the effectiveness of an image depends also on the trageting of your campaign.
But to leave a tip here, for me weird images such as people making faces and other similar things usually produce a high CTR. I believe it's because people are...
There is a chance that your targeting is too tight.
Also, sometimes FB takes 48h or so to start delivering impressions. I have no idea on why it happens, but it has happned to some of my campaigns in the past and some of my students have reported the same.
PoF is definitely profitable if you know how to use it.
The volume isn't great, but you can always scale the campaign to other platforms if you find winning combinations there.
I did try that in the past, but didn't have positive results.
However, it was more than a year ago and I didn't put a lot of focus and effort on my tests.
I believe that advertising on YouTube is very different than advertising on Google (search) or Facebook, for example, so it will probably...
I personally have never seen anyone getting into troubles because of that. I am not syaing that it's correct or ethical, though.
Instead of using images from Google, you can buy images from sites like iStockPhoto.
You can also search on Google for images that are copyright free (there is a...
I suggest you to bid CPC and always bid manually.
Your audience is big, so start bidding high and you will hve a lot of traffic. Then, start optimizing the campaign and keep only the ads with a high CTR.
Once you reach a good CTR with the campaign your CPC will automatially get lower, but you...
Yep, gaming offers usually do great on Facebook. Start with free lead gen offers that convert upon a 1st or 2nd page submit. Use simple landing pages, create laser targeted campaigns and focus on the CTR of your ads to get a hogh CTR and, therefore, a low CPC.
Facebook no longer allows affiliates to promote dating there, probably due to abusive ads and landers that some affiliates used to use.
You can still promote financial offers there. It's not a very easy start, but it's definitely possible.
Run offers that FB doesn't hate, don't upload ads that are offensive, avoid direct linking, etc... It will never be 100% safe, but you will certainly be able to get campaigns going there without creating a new account every day.
Facebook is still huge for many affiliates.
I believe that, since our industry is very dynamic, an affiliate should always be prepared to deal with changes on the platforms. Accounts will get banned, ads will be rejected, offers will be blacklisted, but there is always a way around it.
I still...
Chances are that you won't be able to get your account back.
You can create a new account using a private proxy, new CC#, billing address, etc... But the old account is probably lost.
It's not allowed by FB's ToS. There is always a chance that your account will be banned. When accessing the account with an IP address of a completely different location that will already raise the red flag. Then, when you change the CC# and billing address it can also raise some red flags.
I...
I am still doing great on Facebook. The rules are always changing for all the platforms and it isn't different for Facebook, but you can still get affiliate offers up and running there if you choose the right ones and also use the right process to set up the campaigns.
So, no, Facebook is...
Yes, gaming is a great vertical for Facebook. App installs can work, too, but I find them a bit harder to promote, so I suggest you to start with the regular offers.
Nice case study! Not many details, but yet a cool one. It's usually necessary to test many variations with PoF to find the right combination, but, yep, the best campaigns are along those lines.
