question about amazon. com vs .CA and other american/Canadian companies

I am from canada, so it makes sense to me to promote Canadian based affiliates sites............ However, the American market is alot bigger than the Canadian market, and the world wide Web is called the world wide Web for a reason...... So I'm pondering on whether I should be promoting American...
