Well said. A lot of times the difference between a red campaign and a green campaign is having a decent testing methodology and spit-test (creatives, ads, lander overall copy etc..) across a sensible enough period of time.
Always split-test direct linking vs. landing page. Usually a well done lander performers better especially for cold traffic. If it's a warm funnel traffic then direct linking would work too.
I wouldn't recommend redirecting links as a technique for cloaking, it's pretty basic in the face of the new enhanced monitoring systems on the traffic sources side now.
