    I think it help the user to remember your URL if you have a long one..... in your example I would remember hotbanana-icecream more than hotbananaicecream as the longness of it has been taken away ;)

    making money in affiliate marketing is not a quick fix, unfortunately..... I think you may be better offering to do manual work in your area if you need cash fast, and when you have improved your current situation maybe then you may be better looking at affiliate marketing ;)

    there will always be people who will "fall" for adverts like these..... dont forget, not everyone will know what is happening when they click on one of those adverts..... its the same reason people fall for email scams because they dont really know what they are doing ;)

    I would say at this time of year you would be better off going for physical products, there are lots of people who dont really know much about shopping online (grandparents, aunts & uncles etc) and I reckon its the perfect time to get pushing physicals, later in the year you might be better off...
