Of course it depends on your niche, i mean thats a given but it will also depend on how willing you are to go after it will advertisement. If its something you believe will profit then you want articles posted on many different sites, set up a web page...
Yea these are all spot on! Find the smaller angle to your broad niche and everything is just gravy!
Let me use a very popular example-
"Dog training" is very broad but "training a great dane to fetch" is the smaller angle you want to target.

Where to find a niche?
Finding a niche really is the defining moment in each of your I.M adventures.
When i first started and i'm sure lots of people did the same thing, we wanted to promote something that we we're interested in, am i right?
For example i used gym training as my first niche...
I just wanted to drop by and say thank you for having me.
I'm new to the forum so be gentle with me :)
My experience in I.M surrounds around keyword sourcing and also identifying popular niche's.
