I agree Sire. But there are some who are trying to cut costs or just starting out with no extra money whatsoever. It is for them that this was written.
They can get free quality templates derived from Wordpress themes over at Blogger Templates, purchase a domain name where they would like...
For those that use Blogger as a platform I noticed last night that in your dashboard they have added a stats page. They will give you traffic stats which is awesome.
I know we could have a debate about free vs paid hosting BUT for those guys starting out on a shoestring budget this is good news.
I use Open Office which has the function to turn any document oyu create into a .pdf
It also retains the hyperlinks for you. Just Google Open Office and it should pop right up. It is Open Source software
