    I would suggest contacting the companies directly, such as a maker of paint brushes, and asking if they have an affiliate program you can participate in.

    Affiliate ads on blogs

    What niche are you in? That would work best. Do you have regular traffic and repeat visitors? If not, I would work on those issues first and then monetize your blog afterwards. :)

    For me personally.....I like blogs that offer full feeds. I prefer using my feed reader to read my favorite blogs and the ones that only offer partial feeds go in the trash. :)

    I would say to first work on getting search engine traffic. Write related articles about your niche and use your keywords. Be consistent in your posting. It doesn't have to be everyday, but post on a regular basis. Focus on backlinks also. Do some link exchanges with other blogs in your niche...

    90% of it is mine or my husband's. On my adoption blog, I have forums members that contribute also. On my keyword/niche blogs, most of it is ours. but I have handful of articles on them that I paid for.

    Have fun at Disney! We just bought season passes! We were there all day Tuesday and then again on Thursday. Both days we were at Future World in Epcot. We live about an hour from Disney. :)

    Readers Leaving Comments Question

    I don't require registration on any of my blogs, but I do have it set up where I approve all comments first. My thinking is that people may not want to take the time to register and they'll just end up leaving but I do want to have control over what is being posted in comments.
