"Wordpress blogs are automatically set to not allow search engine spiders"
actually when you install the WP you can choose to allow/disallow spiders, is not that are automatically set
no program or search engine will do that for you. Make good, meaningful comments on interesting blogs, with a decent Alexa rank and you will get some nice links, dofollow or nofollow
I must say that I don't agree with the 3rd point. If the product is better, converts better I prefer selling the 10$ product and make 30$ from 3 sales then 1 sale of 25$. Is all about the quality of the product and conversion rate, not commission paid.
I keep hearing "write keyword rich content with the right density" which is totally bogus. Create useful related content for your readers, forget the keywords and density...
if the terms are competitive, you can add all the meta tags you want, all the titles you want. Only quality, trusted backlinks will give you a chance. Sometimes, that won't do so you should also consider targeting different keywords instead.

Attention: "role based name" email prefixes such as support, webmaster, info, contact, forum, service, affiliate, admin, traffic, partners, marketing, etc., for our member accounts are not permitted. They are acceptable for a vendor listing, but not for the member email. This is due to bulk email processors scrubbing them for delivery due to extremely high bounce rates. Please apply for membership using a personalized email prefix. Something like bob@xxxxx.com.
If we discover you signed up with a role based name we will give you only one message to change it. After 3 days your account will be removed if the email is not changed.
