    www or no www?

    Personal preference is www but choose one, be consistent and redirect the other. That way it doesnt matter as you get both sets of people (with and without www) and the linking is all counted for one domain so you get the best benefit.

    I cant speak for all industries but in IT helping the competition can come back to help you out. Obviously giving away your method of getting the best clients wont be productive but if they are stuck and you help them out of a hole it often brings revenue back, eventually.

    SMF used to be the free BB of my choosing but now I would tend to go for MyBB. Just seems a lot more trouble free. But ofcourse vB is better if your budget can go for it.

    For the sake of a couple of quid I would always recommend getting a provider with decent support rather than the outright cheapest. Register1.net are good for occasional domains and enom for reselling domains.

    Indeed: google.com/admanager After a bit more playing it does seem good for selling ads and adsense but it doesnt make it easy for your own adds to be placed.

    Has anyone any experiance with this? Its googles take on an ad management script (unsurprisingly) but seems to have good integration with adsense. Ive only just started to play and so far it looks good but anyone any thoughts?

    Does Adsense work for you?

    Adsense is working for me for inventory where I havent got an other buyer. I still profit running just adsense but I earn a lot more selling the adds direct (and the buyer gets them same clicks cheaper and a fuller coverage) avoiding google.

    Is there no way to contact the previouse owner? Ive bought a couple of forums and ended in this situation and its been quite tricky to get vB to let me renew. vBSEO have been a lot more helpfull in this situation.
