the only way to get alexa to show better results is to put the traffic rank icon on your site... wrap it in a tag like if you want to hide it

you have two types of redirect you need to care about as an SEO
a 301 redirect, this is a temp redirect.. you use these when you need to take down a page for a few days/weeks/months but in the end you plan to bring the page back, with a 301 a search engine wont forget or pass PR to the new link...
more security the better, when you run mission critical websites where down time will effect not just sales but give staff nothing todo the costs of poor security far out weigh the cost of providing good solid security.
