You could either be talking about what tools you use to track your SEO campaign, or what you use to measure success (#1 rankings). For me, it was Hitbox for web Analytics. Google Analytics is also a good free tool. The thing that is good to look at is keeping a baseline report of your keyword...
Hey vicdigi,
How many backlinks did you have before the Google update? I mean 4620 back links does sound pretty good, but it all depends on how many you had before. Good job anyways.
I use google, but the other day I was watching my roommate use his computer and he was on msn live!! I was like, 'what are you doing?!' He said he likes using maps, so by default, he uses msn live. that's sad huh?
I use Keyword Discovery and Word Tracker, but I think you need an account with them to use the full one. One that most people will not suggest is the Adwords section in Google. You can search a term to see how competitive it is, but you will not get predict numbers like the other tools.
I have just been browsing through all the threads and was wondering which ones does everyone prefer? I know it all depends on what you are interested in or what you want to read about, but just wanted to know what everyone else thought. Thanks.
There are so many different reasons that people join forums. Even though there are so many to choose from, I guess the main thing for me is:
good topics
enough people (but not too many, so that you can't keep up)
good/fast responses
friendly environment
and overall, a place where you want to go...
Thanks for the tip about doing everything in Dreamweaver, but it seems like a hassle to install it just for this. So maybe I'll just install the plugin you suggested.
I just got my Adsense account disabled for some reason. I just started my blog and don't even have any ads up yet. I don't get why. I want to do the appeal form, but want to make sure that I have not done anything wrong in the first place. Any ideas?
A couple of things:
The left navigation is too wide. I understand it's so that the picture of the motorcycle fits, but it doesn't look good and it squeezes the content, making the page longer, which people won't scroll down to read.
Training Offered page:
The underlined titles make it look...
I think once people see those magic words, 'thank you' they will get out of there as fast as possible. But I guess it won't hurt to try and advertise on that page.
Hmm that seems like a lot of work. what is wrong with just taking the embed code straight from youtube? It's not that hard is it? I did it in mine. Maybe I'm missing something.
I'm pretty new to wordpress, but the only thing I can complain about is how when you write a post in the 'Code' section, rather than the 'Visual' section it does not always come out the way you want it. Even doing something as simple as link breaks won't always work.
Anybody else having trouble...
That's true, it's nice to read when you are entering your email, posting a comment somewhere 'we will not sell your email address or use it for spam purposes'..sort of what he's doing.
The thing I don't like about comments is that it takes you to a new page, but I guess that threaded comments...
Wow. Is it like that for everybody and even people on wordpress? I'm still waiting for my blog to show up in the index. :(
Currently I have a new domain, rather than my wordpress blog, but it seems easier (and cheaper) to just use the blog domain. I guess I will decide that when I start a new blog.
I started a blog a year or so ago, but it just didn't seem like anybody was reading, except maybe a few people. Then again, I didn't know how to get my blog out there for the rest of the world to see.
I have joined a few seo contests, so I'm hoping this will get the whole blog thing rolling...
