Has anyone had any luck using free blog sites like blogger to get started? I am on a really, REALLY tight budget and was wondering if I could use blogger to get started and figure things out and make some extra cash to get started. I mention blogger because I know they allow ads and wordpress...

It's a popular musician that does not really have that many sites. When I said market I meant selling as an affiliate, guess I should have been more specific.

.info?
Trying to buy a domain but the .com one I want is gone but .org and .info are available.
Have read on other sites that people think of .info sites as more spam sites, would a .org site be ok?

One more question though. Some of my posts may get rather long on my site. Should I use one of the teaser plug-ins for wp or would that hurt the seo for the site? Would it be seen as duplicate content?
Do you guys/gals suggest using a teaser with blog posts or just letting the whole post appear on the page? I know I hate it when I go to a blog and the pages are so long due to long posts.
Also, how many posts do you suggest having on each page?
