give it a few more weeks....I also had a site with with good traffic but dont convert, my visitors were targeted, the problem with the site is that it lacks call to actions....so I did a major change, even used membership softwares and after 3 months I can see that my site is really out there...

Linda, what I normally do is select keywords with the highest number of searches (no matter how many competing pages) using the Google KEyword External Tool and then verify these keywords using Google Insights

A frequently updated page will get spidered more frequently, so this can be helpful if you?re adding new pages or new links to the site ? as those links will get found and indexed more frequently if the page is spidered more frequently. Yes Google loves fresh content!

I think it is not essential to have high number of back links but it is important to have quality back links.

Like....
* Age of your website.
* No of back links.
* Content on your site.
